Red Onion Website Policy and Full Terms and Conditions WELCOME TO RED ONION’S WEBSITE AND OUR PAYMENT TERMS AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USE. THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY TO THE USE OF THIS WEBSITE AT WWW.REDONION.UK.COM AND RED ONION STUDIO. BY ACCESSING THIS WEBSITE AND/OR RED ONION STUDIO, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY RED ONION POLICIES, PAYMENT TERMS AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS. These Payment Terms, together with the Terms and Conditions of use, Studio Hire terms, Privacy Policy, Website Policy and additional documents and notifications which Red Onion may provide you with from time to time, constitute a legal agreement between you and Red Onion under which you are permitted to access the Service (together, ‘the Agreement’). Please read the following terms carefully: STUDIO USERS TERMS AND CONDITIONS Online payment 1. To ensure that shopping on-line is secure, all payments are via Paypal 2. We try to ensure that prices displayed are accurate, if an item price is different from the price on your order, we will notify you as soon as we receive your order. If this happens, you may cancel your order and we will refund you any money that you have paid. 3. You can order any product which is displayed on this website on-line using Paypal. 4. Should a product be listed with an incorrect price, either due to a typographical error or as a result of an error in pricing information we will inform you of this error and offer you the option to cancel the order. Should your credit card have been debited before the error has been noted we will refund the amount to the value of the incorrect price Studio Activities and Admissions 5. Admission will be refused to anyone arriving more than 10 minutes late to a fitness class and 5 minutes late to the studio once the maximum class number has been exceeded 6. Some classes may be subject to change and/or cancellation. You will be give prior notice at Reception and/or on the door of the facility. Please have your Membership Card available for inspection at all times 7. All Pay As You Go classes are filled on a first come, first served basis 8. Please report to reception 15 minutes before commencement of class. Late arrivals may have their bookings re-let. 9. The goods, activities, services and discounts advertised are subject to availability and may change from time to time. Always check the availability before making your booking, visit or order. 10. The instructors and tutors working at Red Onion are independent of the company, and as such are not its employees. Red Onion cannot ensure that they hold relevant qualifications. It is your responsibility to ensure that the teachers provide you with such information if you require 11. Any one entering Red Onion Rehearsal Studios is bound by the company’s rules and regulations, and may only use the facilities subject to and upon this basis. 12. All fees must be paid via our online facility at the beginning of each booking in advance. 13. The deposit and fees are non-refundable 14. Places are limited, so full payment reservation fee will be required on application 15. All Club members are advised to book their class in advance of attending the sessions Cancellation of class 16. Force Majeure – cancellation of activities will apply upon days which Red Onion is unable to perform their duties by any reason beyond the Managements control such as National Mourning, War, Fire, Strikes of lock-outs directly affecting the venue, or the Order of the Licence of any public Authority having jurisdiction, in any such event notice will be given. 17. Information regarding the cancellation of a class session is posted on the website. Notices will appear on the day the class is cancelled along with any instructions from the instructor 18. Bookings of a particular individual class are monitored if numbers of students are low, Red Onion will cancel the class and/or re-advertise the course and put it on another day if there is sufficient time. If the class doesn’t go ahead those who have booked only for that class as a drop in will be offered a credit note (which they can use against any other course). Club Members will be able to attend an alternative class on any day of the week. No credit note or refund will be provided. 19. We should have no liability to you under this agreement if we are prevented from or delayed in performing our obligations under the agreement or from carrying out our business by events omission or accidents beyond our reasonable control 20. We may from time to time and without notice, change the service in order to comply with any applicable safety or statutory requirements provided that such changes do not materially affect the nature or scope of the service 21. We may from time to time and without notice, change the activity timetable and Red Onion Studio Service Lockers 22. For security reasons and the benefits of other members all lockers must be vacated by the end of each visit. 23. Red Onion provides lockers for users of Red Onion Studio fee of charge. Please leave all bags and outdoor clothing in the lockers provided 24. Lost lockers keys will be charged at £10 replacement Medical disclaimer 25. The company’s activity are of a physical nature, whether participating in Red Onion Arts activities, or using the studios or equipment for any activities whatsoever, the company accepts no liability for any physical injury, loss or damage to persons occurring on the premises, whether occasioned by negligence or howsoever arising 26. Classes are 60 minutes in duration unless otherwise specified. 27. Classes close after the warm-up. (10 minutes after class begins) 28. Members arriving after the warm-up will be excluded from participating for safety reasons 29. Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn at all times 30. I can confirm that I have consult my health practitioner/doctor/GP and she/he have approve my attendance to the physical activities at Red Onion. I hereby confirm that I am fit and well, have no injury, and do not have any illness or medical conditions, which should prevent me from taking part in Red Onion activities and training. 31. I hereby confirm that if I become pregnant during the term, I will inform my doctor and Red Onion Studio teacher. I confirm that I am responsible for checking with my doctor to ensure I am able to participate in this activity 32. I confirm that where any medical condition, discomfort or injury which may be worsened by physical activity applies or becomes applicable at any time when I am participating in a Red Onion class, I am responsible for checking with my doctor to ensure I am able to participate in this activity 33. Whilst using the studio facilities all participants accept responsibility for their state of health and physical condition 34. All content within Red Onion’s website at www,redonionstudio.uk.com and Red Onion Studio is provided for general information only, and should not be a substitute for the advice of your own health practitioner/doctor/GP or any other professionals health domain. 35. Red Onion is not responsible or liable for any actions taken as a result of reading information on this site or at Red Onion Studio. We urge anyone who is considering taking up exercise for the first time to seek the advice of your doctor or physician before you commence exercising. If you feel any discomfort during exercise you are advised to stop your activity and seek professional advice immediately. Red Onion is not responsible for your health and we suggest you always consult your health practitioner/doctor/GP if you're in any way concerned about your health. General 36. Red Onion Studio in a NO SMOKING venue. Smoking is not permitted at the studio 37. Members must agree to the rules of the studio. 38. Red Onion reserve the right to terminate membership for breach of the rules, or conduct which, in the proprietor's opinion, is damaging to the character or interests of the club or offensive to other members or staff. Members must advise staff of any personal, current disability such as blindness, deafness, heart condition, epilepsy and other conditions etc. prior to using the facilities so that they help to avoid accidents, injuries or misadventures to themselves and others. 39. Members’ behaviour in the Studio must not constitute a security or safety hazard to themselves or others. 40. Red Onion may at any time withdraw all or any part of the studio facilities for any period or periods where and when it may be deemed necessary for repair, maintenance, alteration or for safety reasons or alternative use 41. Chewing gum and glass bottles are not permitted within the premises 42. The management reserves the right to expel students who misbehave 43. Red Onion tries to ensure that the information on this site is accurate and complete but cannot accept any responsibility arising from any inaccuracies or omissions. 44. Drinks may only be taken into the studio in a plastic bottle and/or resealable container Complaints procedure 45. 10.1 If you have any cause to complain about this service, please let us know by emailing info@redonion.uk.com and we will endeavour to resolve any complaints as soon as is reasonably possible. Once your complaint has been fully investigated we shall reply back to you. GIFT VOUCHERS 46. Voucher is only valid for the reward specified on the front of the voucher 47. Vouchers remain the property of Red Onion Productions Ltd 48. Voucher is not valid beyond the expiry date 49. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash nor sold or transferred for value 50. Damaged, defaced or photocopied vouchers will not be accepted 51. Points can be collected when purchasing a gift voucher, but they cannot be credited when using a gift voucher 52. Voucher is not valid beyond the expiry date 53. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash nor sold or transferred for value 54. Redeemed Voucher cannot be used again PAY AS YOU GO TERMS AND CONDITIONS 55. Pay as you go are drop in classes. Customers can only access Red Onion facilities and classes at the times that have paid for. 56. We reserve the right to vary the charges and to introduce new payment methods at any time by notifying you of the changes on Red Onion’s website www.redonion.uk.com. 57. We can not offer a class transfer if you are unable to attend a pay as you go class the date booked online 58. pay as you go bookings are non transferable No refund policy 59. RED ONION WILL NOT REFUND THE FEES COLLECTED FROM YOU IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES (UNLESS SUCH FEES HAVE BEEN COLLECTED BY RED ONION IN ERROR). RED ONION CLUB MEMBERS TERMS AND CONDITIONS 60. In order to maintain a high standard of facilities and to ensure everyone's enjoyment, please read and observe the following membership rules: 61. Club Membership entitles an individual access to Red Onion Studio Classes at opening times as outlined on Red Onions website www.redonion.uk.com. 62. Please note prices for all activities and subscription are liable to change from time to time. Members’ Access 63. Every Member will receive an electronic membership card, which must be used to gain access to the studio. Members applying for a replacement card will be subject to an administration fee. Children 64. Child is defined as under 18. At age 18 all users must be signed in/ by parents/guardian/carers. All users under 18 must be signed in/authorised by parents/guardian/carer Members' Guests 65. Members are welcome to introduce guests to Red Onion Studio. Guests should register, pay the current guest fee or Pal Pass and must be accompanied by a Member. 66. Each Member can introduce the same person no more than 6 times per year and will be given a guest disclaimer form. Members must ensure that their guests are fully aware of Studio Terms & Conditions and Rules & Regulations. The proprietors take no responsibility for accidents, injuries, misadventure, theft or damage to personal belongings experienced by guests of the club 67. The Pal Pass offer is limited to one single transaction using a single name and single email address and single bank account. It is not transferable to any other person Initial Payment 68. When you subscribe to Red Onion Club Membership you will be directed to the Paypal website to pay your monthly installment (this may varies) 69. Please follow the instructions as they appear on screen. a. Once you have completed the instructions a summary page will appear for your review and confirmation. b. When you have completed this stage, Paypal will send you an email to confirm your transaction. this will also be sent to Red Red Onion will send you an invoice for the full 6 (six) months terms payment for your ongoing payments. c. You will then be expected continue your monthly Club Membership payment by Paypal or Direct Debit according to the Payment Terms Herein Subscriptions 70. By becoming a Red Onion Club member you have agreed to these Payment Terms. You will be legally committing to a minimum Subscription Period (as defined below). 71. Red Onion Memberships are payable by online subscriptions or direct debit. 72. Notice periods for subscription will be one full month notice. 73. In the case of having to temporarily suspend membership due to long-term injury or illness, a written acceptance and waiver of the administration fee on re-application must be received by Red Onion prior to cancellation. 74. Your Red Onion subscription will be automatically extended for successive renewal periods of the same duration as the subscription term originally selected, unless you decline renewal prior to the expiration of each subscription term 75. Members will pay additional costs for optional services such as specialist master classes, one2one session or other activities not included in your Membership deal. Cooling off period 76. Please note you will now have entered into a legally binding contract for membership of Red Onion Studio. It is your responsibility to retain all relevant documentation. Your membership will come into effect as soon as your payment has cleared our account and/or the day you sign up to the service. You have the right to change your mind and cancel your membership within 7 working days, provided you have not already started to use Red Onion Studio facilities (“Cooling Off Period”). If you have attended or taken part in any activities session and/or induction or used facilities (or both) during the Cooling Off Period, your right to cancel your membership will be forfeit. 77. If you decide to cancel any money you have already paid during the Cooling Off Period will be refunded. 78. If you decide to cancel your application, you must notify Red Onion in writing or by email and, if completed, you will need to notify your bank/Paypal to cancel the direct debit/subscription. 79. If you do not cancel your application during the Cooling Off Period you will be contractually bound to your health and fitness club for the duration of your membership as set out in your health and fitness club’s terms and conditions. Cancellation of subscription 80. Early termination of your current gym membership may result in penalty charges, please see the section financial responsibility for more information 81. The Service will be accessible immediately following clearance of first payment. YOUR ACCEPTANCE LETTER AND/OR EMAIL WITH A MEMBERSHIP CARD YOU WILL BE LIABLE TO PAY THE SUBSCRIPTION FEE FOR THE MINIMUM SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD OF 6 (SIX) MONTHS. 82. You may cancel your subscription to the Service at any time during a Subscription Period by providing at least 1 (one) full month notice to Red Onion in writing prior to the expiry of such Subscription Period. Instructions detailing the cancellation process will be contained within the confirmation letter and or email sent to you following you Club Membership. However, you will be able to access the Service up until such Subscription Period ends. YOU WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO A REFUND FOR THE REMAINDER OF ANY SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD AFTER CANCELLING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS AGREEMENT AS THE SERVICE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR USE UP UNTIL THE SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD ENDS. 83. If you do not cancel your subscription by providing at least 1 (one) month notice prior to the expiry of a Subscription Period as referred herein, you will be responsible for the Subscription Fee for the subsequent Subscription Period and Red Onion will charge you such Subscription Fee and other charges as outlined herein the financial responsibility section on the date the subsequent Subscription Period commences in accordance with this Agreement. No refund policy 84. RED ONION WILL NOT REFUND THE SUBSCRIPTION FEES COLLECTED FROM YOU IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES (UNLESS SUCH SUBSCRIPTION FEES HAVE BEEN COLLECTED BY RED ONION IN ERROR). 85. WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION DETAILED WITHIN THIS AGREEMENT, THE SUBSCRIPTION FEE FOR EACH SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD STARTED WILL BE DUE AND WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED. FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO ANY REFUND OR REIMBURSEMENT ON THE BASIS THAT YOU DO NOT ACCESS THE SERVICE DURING THE SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD FOLLOWING CANCELLATION OF YOUR SUBSCRIPTION BY YOU Club Membership Cards 86. The Membership Reward Card is issued by and remains the property of Red Onion Productions Ltd, who reserve the right to decline issue, or withdraw the card at any time, or terminate the scheme at any time. 87. The Club Membership card is not transferable 88. The replacement of a damaged, lost or stolen card will be charged at £3. 89. Red Onion can take any action they consider appropriate if we have reason to believe that you are abusing the scheme 90. Red Onion is not responsible for products and services from third party suppliers. These are offered according to that supplier’s terms and conditions. 91. By becoming a Club Member of Red Onion you agree to receive advertising, marketing materials, and other communications from Red Onion and their affiliates. Your personal information will be held in accordance with Red Onion Privacy Policy, which can be found at www.redonion.uk.com. Freezing Membership 92. A membership may be frozen due to long-term injury, illness, if Red Onion is notified in writing. Membership can only be frozen for a maximum of 6 months. A charge of £5.00 per month will be levied. Replacement cards 93. Members can be issued with the replacement membership card a charge of £3 will be levied accordingly. Financial responsibility 94. Club Membership payments will be by direct debit and/or by subscription via Paypal, Visa, Master Card. Switch, Solo, Maestro, Visa Delta debit card 95. Payment must be made to Red Onion Productions LTD - 26-28 Hatherley Mews, London E17 4QP. 96. Receipts will be issued by return or via Paypal 97. When changing bank accounts from one bank/branch to another, immediate notification must be given to Red Onion in writing and updated on the Red Onion site via your subscription panel. 98. Red Onion Club Membership and class subscription is paid for your place not for attendance 99. Red Onion Club Membership and class subscription is for a minimum of 6 (six) months contract, terms and condition apply 100. Red Onion Club Membership and class subscription must be paid in full at the start of each term 101. All payment and correspondence must have your name along with membership number 102. On termination of the contract for any reason you shall immediately pay to us all outstanding charges and membership fees 103. Without prejudice to any other rights which you may have, an administration fee of £35 will be charged for each of the following; a. Payments that have been returned uncleared by the bank and/or credit card company and/or Paypal b. Cancellation of subscriptions without one full month notice c. Cancel an order after the 7 day cool off period 104. Cancellation of subscription, and/or online payment without giving one full month notice to the Red Onion in writing after the 6 (six) month terms a. If the customer fails to make payment in accordance to this agreement Red Onion will be entitled to: b. Require the payment of cash upon entrance to studio facilities c. Claim from the customer all costs relating to any action taken by Red Onion to recover monies or goods due from the customer including any commercial agents costs and legal costs and disbursements on a solicitor-client basis d. Cease any further services to the customer and to terminate any agreement in relation to services that have not been delivered Club Membership pre booking and cancellation of classes/session 105. CLUB MEMBERS MUST PRE-BOOK CLASSES BEFORE ATTENDANCE THEY CANNOT DROP INTO SESSIONs. Red Onion cannot be responsible for any cancellation for which you turn up without booking 106. All Club Members can reserve their place on a class session by pre-booking up to 6 weeks in advance 107. All Club Members must cancel any pre booking that is made which you cannot attend 108. ADMIN CHARGE OF £4 PER SESSiON WILL BE LEVIED TO ALL CLUB MEMBERSHIP WHO DO NOT CANCEL ANY PRE BOOKED CLASSES WITHIN 8 HOURS OF THE START OF THE BOOKED SESSION. STUDIO HIRER TERMS OF HIRE Opening Hours & Staffing 109. Red Onion Studio is open between the hours of 9.00am and 9.30pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am and 6.30pm Saturday and Sunday. 110. The use of the studio spaces at any other time must be agreed by Red Onion and the space is used with the knowledge that there may not be a member of Red Onion staff on the premises. If additional reception cover is required the Hirer may be charged an additional fee to cover these costs. Responsibilities of Red Onion Studio 111. Red Onion undertakes to: a. supply heating, ventilation and hot water. b. supply a sound system comprising of CD/Tape Player. c. provide a reception service from 9am to 9.30pm Monday to Friday. d. maintain toilets, common parts, and provide general caretaking services. e. maintain fire and public liability insurance in respect of the building and Red Onion employees. Studio booking 112. Confirmation only by online payment, Paypal and Credit/Debit card in full, 113. Unless otherwise stated all prices are strictly net. 114. The granting of credit facility to customer shall be held at the absolute discretion of Red Onion on the qualification/approval of a credit check, and otherwise demanded by Red Onion the customer shall make payment of 50% deposit at time of placing booking and 50% on arrival at Red Onion Studio and prior to commencement of entering the studio space 115. When granted credit facilities, studio hire must be confirmation in writing on headed paper or via signed Red Onion booking form or by purchase order. 116. The hirer acknowledges that the hire of Red Onion Studio facility via a credit facilities shall not proceed without the presentation of a valid purchase order or written authorisation to proceed on the terms and conditions of this agreement from the Client unless the Client shall have indicated its acceptance of the terms and conditions of this agreement with a 50% deposit Hire charges 117. Hire charges for amenities are as set out in the Red Onion Rate Card or at Red Onion’s website www.redonion.uk.com 118. Red Onion reserves right to alter its hire charges without notice. A minimum hiring charge of one hour applies. 119. The customer agrees to pay to Red Onion the hire charges, as set out on Red Onion Rate Card and/or www.redonion.uk.com, and for the equipment supplied Hirer payment terms 120. Without prejudice to any other rights which you may have, an administration fee of £25 will be charged for each of the following; a. Payments that have been returned uncleared by the bank and/or credit card company and/or Paypal b. Late payment of invoice on account facility 121. If the hirer fails to make payment in accordance to this Payment Terms Red Onion will be entitled to: a. Require from the hirer all costs relating to any action taken by Red Onion to recover monies or goods due from the customer including any commercial agents costs and legal costs and disbursements on a solicitor-client basis b. Cease any further services to the customer and to terminate any agreement in relation to services that have not been delivered Cancellation fees 122. Cancellation must be made in writing to Red Onion and will be based on percentage of total fee 28 days 50%, 14 days 75%, 7 days full fee. Use of Studios 123. Studios may only be used for the purpose agreed between the Hirer and Red Onion. Hirers must give as much information as possible about the activity for which they have made a booking, and Red Onion reserves the right to request a copy of the Hirer's professional qualifications in certain circumstances 124. Please read section below carefully and if in doubt about what you want to use the space/s for you must talk to us first. Damage to spaces and facilities 125. Repair of any damage caused to any aspect of the Red Onion building and facilities by Hirers disregarding these Conditions or through carelessness will be charged to the Hirer. Care of, and behaviour within Red Onion Studio 126. Courtesy to other users 127. Hirers are required to demonstrate consideration and courtesy in dealing with other users of Red Onion which includes use of shared spaces. 128. Cleaning up after use 129. All Hirers must leave their space/s clean and tidy and remove or store any equipment used in designated storage areas. Food & drink 130. Absolutely no food or drink is to be taken into the studios except bottled water Noise levels 131. Noise levels in the studio must be of an acceptable level. Any classes causing noise above a level deemed unacceptable by the Red Onion’s management will be asked to stop. Footwear 132. Shoes may not be worn in the studios - only bare feet or soft-soled ballet or jazz shoes are permitted provided that they do not mark the wooden floor. Outdoor shoes, including trainers, are not allowed Care of floors 133. Under no circumstances must any substances be used on the floors, including water, talcum powder, rosin, paints, crayons, pens, candle wax, incense. Heavy items, eg. set or furniture, which might scrach the floors should also not be used. If in doubt please check with Red Onion first. After each day/hire period the Hirer must sweep the wooden floor with the specialist dry mop provided. Use of Fans and heating 134. Hirers must turn off the fans in the studios or turn on the heating before vacating the premises. Use of candles and incense 135. No candles are permitted to be burned except nighlights / tealights and on the strict condition that they are contained in heatproof candleholders at all times and are never left unattended while alight. 136. Incense sticks must be burned in a proper holder and all ash must be cleaned up after use. Care of Walls 137. Only white tack may be used to attach items (eg. flipchart paper) to the walls. Restrictions on sound levels 138. It is essential that the level of sound produced in this space does not exceed 75dB. The stereo and amplifier are to be used at a level no higher than the level marked on both pieces of equipment Use of Doors 139. If you would like to open the courtyard door during times you are taking a break in the space, please ask the office staff first Child Protection Policy 140. All Hirers are required to abide by the Red Onion Child Protection Policy as follows: (The word ‘children’ should be taken to mean ‘children (under 16), young people (under 18) or vulnerable adults’.) Anybody hiring studio facilities for activities involving children MUST: a. Possess a full and up to date Criminal Records Bureau check, and provide a copy of this to Red Onion management. b. Possess valid and up to date professional indemnity / public liability insurance to the value of at least £1million, and provide a copy of this to Red Onion management. c. Keep a list of participant/s or clients' names and contact details, and a written register of attendees at each class / workshop / therapy session. d. Ensure that children in his / her care supervised at all times by a responsible adult in a ratio of no less than one adult to every 12 children. e. Ensure that health and safety requirements are met and good teaching practices observed. f. Ensure that s/he is familiar with the fire evacuation procedure and first aid points. Equal Opportunities 141. It is Red Onion’s policy to treat all people equally irrespective of age, creed, disability, ethnic origin, gender, marital or parental status, race or sexual orientation. All Red Onion staff, volunteers, hirers, clients and the general public visiting the building are expected to abide by this policy. Insurance 142. The Hirer and Red Onion will each effect and maintain adequate insurance policies to cover all requisite statutory and other legal liabilities Fire Safety and Evacuation Procedure 143. The assembly point in the event of an evacuation is opposite the entrance of Grove Café 144. In the event of a fire, if there is a member of Red Onion staff or a receptionist on duty, it is their responsibility to call the fire bridgade. Hirers using the building when it is not staffed have responsibility to evacuate their group and call fire brigade (999). 145. All Hirers leading groups must keep a register of everybody in the space with them for fire safety purposes. In the event of an evacuation of the building it is the responsibility of each group leader to check that all members of their group are all present at the assembly point. Storage of Equipment 146. At its discretion and subject to availability of space, Red Onion may permit the storage of Hirers' equipment used in its spaces. (Please ask a member of staff.) All equipment should be clearly marked with the owner's details, and it is the responsibility of the owner to store it safely, ensuring it is not blocking any spaces in regular use including exits or passages. 147. Red Onion does not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any equipment stored on its premises. Use of Equipment and Setting up of Spaces 148. For details of furniture and equipment supplied at Red Onion please see the website or contact the office. Whether using Red Onion equipment or the Hirer's own, it is the responsibility of the Hirer to set up and strike their own space at the beginning and end of each session within the time limits of the booking 149. Only qualified and experience people will be permitted to use the equipment. Red Onion holds no responsibility for loss or damage to any one using our facilities and equipment Parking and Loading of Vehicles 150. For details of local parking provision and restrictions Red Onion has parking permits for all our customers ask in the office. There are bicycle racks in Hatherley Mews for users of Red Onion Studio. Bicycles must not be brought inside except with special permission from Red Onion. Crediting Red Onion Studio 151. Hirers must credit Red Onion on printed publicity, using the wording "facilities provided by" and the Red Onion logo email by request info@redonion.uk.com). In situations where it is not possible to use the logo the wording should be "facilities provided by Red Onion Studio" (all one word, all lower case.) Force Majeure 152. In the event that the booking has to be cancelled, curtailed or suspended as a result of war, strikes, lockouts, acts of terrorism, fire, flood, royal demise, national calamity, or for any reason beyond the control of either party to this Agreement, the provisions of this Agreement shall be suspended. Every effort will be made by both parties to complete the booking at a later date, but where this is not possible, any costs incurred to date will be apportioned appropriately. General 153. Over-running into the next session must be paid for pro rata 154. Red Onion Studios has a limited amount of chairs. They must be put away at the end of your session to ensure the room is ready for the next class. 155. Windows must be closed on departure and keys and all equipment returned to the office or duty manager 156. Anyone booking Red Onion facilities will be charged for any lost or damaged equipment and items during your session 157. Rooms must be cleaned at the end of each session to ensure the room is prepared for the next session. 158. Floors may be marked with PVC tape only. The tape is to be removed before the end of each session. 159. The rooms must be locked if left unattended for any reason 160. Personal belongings must not be left unattended at any time. 161. We are not insured for hirer personal items. Red Onion Productions will not accept liability for any loss or damage. 162. Hirer must leave the rooms promptly at the agreed time to avoid necessary delay in the next session starting 163. Companies and class tutors are reminded that the hire charges cover rehearsals only. For those wishing to film for television or video purposes a facility fee of a minimum of £60.00 is payable, and this must be negotiated separately to the room hire charge. 164. The Hirer shall at all times use the amenities in a skilful and proper manner and shall at their own expense clean and maintain the amenities in good and substantial repair and condition, reasonable wear and tear expected. 165. Upon completion of hiring, the Hirer must clean the amenities. It is agreed that the whole or any part of the costs of cleaning will be paid by the customer if Red Onion needs to clean the studio facility after use RED ONION YOUTH THEATRE AND SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE TERMS It shall be the purpose of the Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence members to promote and uphold team spirit for Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence members, to develop good sportsmanship by example, to support performance programmes, and to develop good relations in the community and between other Groups and performers during all events and competitions. The organisational goal is to work in harmony with the members, parents, teachers and administration, other performers, theatres, dance crews, and choirs. Eligibility 166. A Red Onion candidate must support the Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence members above all other youth groups. 167. A candidate must be neatly presented, medically fit, and if under 18 years old provide parental permission. 168. A candidate may be male or female and a minimum age of 5 years and maximum age of 19 years. 169. Acceptance of a candidate shall be on the basis of ability, the Principal agreement, acceptance of Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence members’s rules, and without prejudice of race creed or colour. 170. The candidate must not have previously been dismissed from the Red Onion Youth Theatre or School of Excellence members Membership 171. The Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence members is a collective. The regular performers will consist of a minimum of 5 all round performers. Additional members may be admitted and allowed to fill regular performances as they reach performing proficiency 172. The entire Youth Theatre and School of Excellence members Group will perform in a professional show at least once a year. A proportion of the theatre group will perform at competitions, festivals, promotions, fundraisers, community and charity events as may be designated on the basis of event requirements and travel arrangements. Such proportion and the selection of it will be assigned on a rotating basis, subject to performing skills. Attendance requirement 173. All Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence members will attend rehearsals, and those designated will attend performances. Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence member’s performances take precedence over all other events. 174. All members, including parents, managers and teachers, are required to attend regular meeting. 175. Competitions: The Youth Theatre and School of Excellence as a group will decide to enter a competition. If the majority decides to compete, the Youth Theatre and School of Excellence will do so 176. Social Activities: All members are encouraged, but not required to attend. Advance notice of non-attendance is required. 177. Team activities other than rehearsals: are social activities, members will be required to attend a reasonable proportion throughout the year. 178. If any other activities or opportunities are chosen by the Youth Theatre and School of Excellence members Principal, the teachers and director shall decide if the event is mandatory or optional. Reasonable notice of all such activities/opportunities will be given for mandatory events, and as early as possible for others. Financial responsibility 179. Annual Performances: The members are responsible for the cost of attending. Fundraiser projects will be available to assist those participating. 180. Transportation: The Youth Principle will be responsible for supplying event transport, although members may be required to pay a proportion towards the cost. Such costs will be notified in advance. Members will make their own way to and from rehearsals. Rehearsal transport will only be provided for rehearsals at an event and/or necessary at the discretion of the theatre director. 181. Competitions: The Red Onion Youth Theatre will bear the cost of competition entry. Members will bear a proportion of transport costs to cover fuel/hire etc. 182. Members will provide their own refreshments when not provided by the Red Onion Youth Theatre or event organisers. 183. Each member will pay Club Membership at the appropriate rate and will be a full member of Red Onion Studio. 184. There will also be a £30 subs, this sum will go towards cost of personal insurance, and other Youth Theatre and School of Excellence costs. 185. Insurance is mandatory and will normally be provided through subs and arranged by Red Onion’s Manager. Exemption will only be given on proof of adequate personal insurance to the Youth Theatre and School of Excellence minimum requirements. 186. The Theatre Director and teachers may provide funding for the members over and above the Youth Theatre funds. However, this will be subject to their own resources and willingness to do so. 187. Each member will be required to purchase certain items of clothing/uniform for hygienic reasons. These will be listed. 188. When resigning from Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence all fees must be paid by subscription or direct debit. Please inform Red Onion Principal of your intention to leave so your place can be offered to someone else. 189. Members fees are paid for your place in Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence not for attendance. 190. Members fees must be paid in full or installment (with prior agreement) at the start of each term 191. All payment and correspondence must have the name of the member on along with membership number 192. An administration fee of £25 will be charged for each of the following; a. payments that have been returned uncleared by the bank, b. cancellation of payment without giving one full month notice to the Principal in writing, c. Members and parents/guardians who do not attend meetings or other activates, d. Members who do not attend performance once it has been agreed without giving good reason in writing Audition 193. An audition will consist of performing designated skills in front of the Principal, teacher and managers. A majority decision for acceptance will be taken. However the Principal have the right to accept or veto this vote. 194. Auditions will normally be held each year prior to the start of The Youth Theatre and School of Excellence training, but may additionally be conducted at other times at the discretion of the Principal 195. The format of the Audition will be decided by the Principal, and will be held in a fair and open manner conducive to allowing each candidate to show his/her best abilities and potential. 196. Selection of youth theatre representive and group leaders 197. The Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence will have 2 Youth Representatives, 2 Deputies, and up to three Group Leaders. A list of suitable candidates will be prepared by the teachers and voted on by the members. A majority vote will decide the positions. Candidates must have at least one years experience as a Youth Theatre and School of Excellence member and have attended at least one performance. 198. Senior members will perform the duties of the production team and other designated positions. The Principal, will decide whether or not these responsibilities are passed to approve candidates under Principal supervision. Duties and responsibilities of Red Onion Youth theatre and School of Excellence a. The Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence is responsible for: b. Ensuring that the Youth Theatre members are insured, that safety is the top priority at all times, that First Aid is available, and emergency contact list is kept up to date and present at all times. c. All safety and conduct guidelines are followed and upheld. d. Organising and arranging rehearsal schedule, equipment, training facilities, travel and events. e. To offer training in singing, dance, acting and competitive and performance opportunities f. To promote Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence within the local and performance industry g. To ensure a duty of care to all members of Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence h. To provide all services in the way that is fair and equal Duties and responsibilities of representatives and group leaders 199. Set an example to the rest of the members by following the rules and regulations of the Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence. 200. The representatives and group leaders will set an example by doing more than his/her share. 201. Be at rehearsals early and start on time. 202. Provide creative input to the Youth Theatre and School of Excellence rehearsals. The members should make suggestions, but the decision shall be by the teachers. 203. Act as a peacemaker in case of disagreements 204. Co-ordinate the painting and hanging up of signs. 205. Be responsible for welcoming visiting performers and setting a good example of friendliness to other performers. 206. Keep the members in proper formation during performances and events 207. Show no partiality within the Youth Theatre and School of Excellence 208. In the event the Youth Representatives is not able to perform his/her duties the Deputies, or assigned Group Leader will do so Rehearsal schedule 209. There will be up to 5 hours of training a week with in school term time only. As far as is practical this will be at Red Onion Dance Studio dependent on availability of facilities and Youth Theatre a fund. 210. All Members are required to attend all practice sessions unless valid reasons are notified to the Theatre Director. 211. Uniform and rehearsal wear 212. Uniforms and costumes are not provided by the Youth Theatre and School of Excellence the members may decide to purchase uniform items from fundraising and sponsorship etc, with the approval of the Principal. 213. Any uniform that is damaged and deemed unusable by the managers must be replaced by the member. 214. Only official Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence jackets may be worn over uniform. Official jackets, T-shirts, and practice wear are the only items that can be worn. Uniform will be worn for events as designated by the Principal. 215. Members in uniform or wearing any item of Youth Theatre and School of Excellence identification must always conduct themselves in a manner becoming to Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence Appearance 216. For safety reasons jewellery or watches will not be worn with uniform or at practice, except for small flat earrings or small stud earrings. 217. Uniforms must be kept spotless at all times. 218. Makeup should be natural and not excessive. 219. All hairstyles must be neat and secured, not needing attention (combing etc) whilst performing. 220. Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence members should look their best at all times, especially when in uniform Conduct 221. Members are required to maintain and uphold the reputation of the Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence through their own conduct and team spirit. 222. Members are required to be courteous, polite, friendly, and try to have a smile for everybody. 223. All rehearsals and performances shall be of a positive and sportsmanlike manner. 224. Members will make every attempt to ignore or dissuade negative responses at events and not become involved in such action themselves. Fundraising activities 225. All Youth Theatre and School of Excellence members will participate in at least two fund raising project per year. The money raised will be used to fund Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence performances, uniform or equipment. Donations to, and fund raising for, Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence or charity projects may be conducted as agreed by Red Onion’s Manager. 226. All fund raising activities will be approved by the members and with the approval of the Red Onion’s Manager Health and safety 227. Members must have a teacher present at all times 228. If a member attends the hospital for any treatment, the hospital or the doctor must supply a letter giving permission to resume training before his/her first session back 229. If a member has an injury or recent illness, however small, the coach must be informed before session starts 230. A full medical form must be completed and return to The Principal. Please inform the Principal of any changes 231. Please inform the Principal of any relevant problems concerning the member that you think we should know about Conflicts with others 232. Youth Theatre and School of Excellence members must come first at all times 233. If the members commits to an event/activity, the entire theatre company is expected to participate Disciplinary action 234. It shall be Red Onion Youth Theatre and School of Excellence policy that disciplinary action will only be taken as a last resort, and that every reasonable attempt will be made to avoid situations likely to lead to such action through discussion and positive encouragement, by example, and by finding ways and means to correct negative trends. 235. A Member may be suspended from rehearsals/events for the following reasons: a. unexcused absence b. excessive absence or tardiness c. failure to cooperate with teacher and the Principal d. failure to abide by Youth Theatre and School of Excellence rules and regulations 236. A Member may be dismissed for the following reasons: a. Excessive and irreconcilable disruptive influence on the other members of the Youth Theatre, b. Profanity, smoking, drinking, or using drugs; c. Direct defiance to a coach d.
